Salt Lake Community College

AAA

Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) is the largest higher education institution with the most diverse student body in Utah. SLCC offers online class options and operates 14 convenient locations throughout the Salt Lake valley. Even with its large student body, students don’t get lost in the ‘shuffle’ because SLCC’s student to faculty ratio is just 20 to 1. Since 1948, SLCC has focused on providing individual attention and personal care to each student.

Competitive tuition, financial aid, scholarships, academic and career advising, and programs focused on student success are tools set in place for scholars to easily access at the College.

SLCC is accredited through the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU). NWCCU is an institutional accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and the U.S. Department of Education. This accreditation allows for most credits to be easily transferred from SLCC to 4-year colleges and universities. SLCC adheres to a semester schedule and offers the following degrees:

  • Associate of Arts (A.A.)
  • Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.)
  • Associate of Science (A.S.)
  • Associate of Pre-Engineering (A.P.E.)
  • Certificates and Diplomas

Open access, personalized attention, diverse programs and training opportunities, and quality educational services have made Salt Lake Community College the place for students to take their first step to higher education and the place for professionals to take the next step to advance their careers.

Salt Lake Community College is proud to announce the current renovation and expansion of the South City Campus. This expansion includes a Center for New Media that will provide more than 120,000 square feet of new and renovated classroom space to prepare graduates for occupations in the fields of Digital Media Design, Applied Technology, Communication Broadcasting, Animation, Visual and Art Design, Digital Technology and Performing Arts.
