The Guiding Principles of Career and Technical Education

Relationships...
Students come first and are the reason for our existence.
If teachers are taken care of, they will take care of the students.
TEAMWORK - everyone belongs, everyone contributes.  C.T.E. is a family.

Rigor...
C.T.E. courses must be aligned with other disciplines to promote real-world application of academic theory.
High expectations are critical in all C.T.E. programs, along with a plan for when they are not achieved.

Relevance...
C.T.E. programs are about change, quality and constant improvement.
Learning should be fun and meaningful.
All education is "career education".
Clear pathways to further training and/or employment are important elements of all C.T.E. courses and programs.
