Event Description:

Join ACG on May 10th for a breakfast program on doing business in Europe.  A group of European government officials and experts will discuss topics involving the Euro, European regulatory issues, market entry barriers, and other current issues related to trade between the U.S. and Europe.  This breakfast meeting is part of "Utah-Europe Days 2011,"  a two-day event organized by the Governor's Office of Economic Development to provide an opportunity for Utah business leaders to receive current, updated information on doing business in the European market. Utah's exports to Europe doubled between 2005 and 2010 and increased 20% in 2010. European investors are the largest international investors in Utah and half of Utahns trace their ancestors to Europe.

Franz Kolb, Director-Europe, State of Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Development International Trade and Development Office, will introduce prominent European guests who will give individual presentations, including his Excellency Balas Bokor, Consul General, Republic of Hungary, the Honorable Michal Sedlá?ek, Consul General of the Czech Republic, the Honorable Andrew Lewis, Consul and Head of Investment, British Consulate General, Los Angeles, and Mr. Thomas Schuck, CEO, gwSaar Saarland Promotion Corporation (Germany).

Randy Humphreys, Senior Vice President, International Banking at JPMorgan Chase & Co. will address key issues related to financing European transactions.

Individual presentations will be followed by a panel discussion moderated by Barbara Bagnasacco, Vice-Chair, International Group, Ballard Spahr, and a Q&A session.
